“Trust one who has gone through it,” notes Virgil.
That adage has been worth heeding since the days of the Roman poet, as there is much wisdom in learning from another’s experience. Several of our life and retired members will be sharing their insight and advice during a casual panel discussion scheduled for Thursday, July 20 at 2 p.m. Eastern time.
The format will be similar to the “lunch and learn” held last summer – with a few questions asked of all the panelists, then general discussion and questions from members. We’re adding a third L – laugh, as we want this to be informal as well as informational. Our esteemed colleagues will share some tips they’ve accumulated over the years, such as how to “manage up” and how to work more productively with other internal departments.
Bring your questions, challenging situations and curiosity – feel free to enjoy your lunch or afternoon snack during the session. You can also submit a question to the panelists anonymously by emailing it to ginny@religioncommunicators.org; simply note in the subject line it’s designated for the July 20 panelists.
